French artist-photographer Éric Tabuchi examines contemporary industrial culture through the signs that mark its landscape and determine its language. His photographic protocol consists of surveying the roads of an area, avoiding any obvious points of tourist or other interest. He locates specific objects and non-places, peri-urban landscapes empty of human presence that seem to belong to the great spaces of the American West: motorways, commercial activity zones, building sites, buildings and other cheap constructions.
