Joëlle Zask is a lecturer and researcher at the University of Aix-Marseille, specialising in social philosophy and Dewey's pragmatism. She has published several works examining democratic forms of participation and the conditions for a democratic culture. She also works on the political implications of contemporary artistic practices. Her books include Quand la place devient publique, Éditions Le Bord de l'eau, 2018.
