description
The Schröder House or Rietveld Schröderhuis (du) was built in 1924 by the Dutch architect Gerrit Rietveld for Truus Schröder, a pharmacist involved in the De Stijl movement. Located in Utrecht among other bourgeois villas, it is now recognised as one of the first symbols of the modern movement in architecture, illustrating the neoplasticist adventure of the Dutch architect Rietveld.
