The Beaune archaeodrome is a former reconstructed archaeological ecomuseum-oppidum located on the A6 Beaune-Merceuil motorway service area in the Côte-d'Or region of Burgundy-Franche-Comté. Opened from 1978 to 2005, it was dedicated in particular to the Gallic period in Burgundy's history. The result of an original collaboration between its owner - the Paris-Rhin-Rhône motorway company - and the Burgundy regional archaeology department, the archaeodrome opened its doors in 1978 with a tourist, cultural and educational vocation, from the Iron Age to the year 1000. The archaeodrome's outdoor park covered several hectares and featured ten or so reconstructions of sites and buildings. In order: Neolithic huts (4000 BC), Alesia seats (4000 BC), Fanum (Gallo-Roman temple), Gallo-Roman village.
