The Automobil-Verkehrs- und Übungs-Straße GmbH or AVUS (acronym translated as “Automotive traffic and test road”) was a German capital company created in 1909, with the aim of promoting the development of automobile construction. The former race circuit built in 1921 is now part of the Bundesautobahn 115.
