Advertising document AWS Piccolo, a city car model produced in pre-series by the Walter Schätzle automobile industry (AWS). In his book, Victor Papanek presents this car as an example of the do-it-yourself vehicle. 300 pre-series examples of this vehicle were produced under the name AWS Piccolo (1971-1972) and 1400 series production examples under the name AWS Shopper (1973-1974). The Piccolo/Shopper was designed and built in West Germany. In the second edition of his major work, Victor Papanek refers to the 1973-1974 version: AWS Shopper.
