von Rabenau, Kai

Kai von Rabenau is a photographer, editor and art director based in Berlin. He studied visual communication at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design and the Royal College of Art in London. Since 2000 he has worked as a freelance photographer in Berlin, concentrating on portraiture, fashion, and editorial work. His clients include “Die Zeit”, Lufthansa, “brand eins” and “Port Magazine”. In 2005, he founded the independent interview magazine “mono.kultur”. Each issue is devoted exclusively to one artist. The 49 issues published to date have featured artists such as Tilda Swinton, Ai Weiwei, Ryan McGinley and Miranda July. Kai has also been the co-founder and artistic director of women’s fashion brand mono.gramm since 2009.
